Erin Steele To All Instructors

Teacher & Firefly Co-Founder

After spending two years at Georgia Southern University playing soccer, Erin graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in Spanish. She taught Spanish at Tucker High School in DeKalb County, and has enjoyed teaching at homeschool co-ops as her kids have grown. She has coached soccer at the club and high school levels, and holds a National D coaching license. Erin is also a birth doula.

Erin now lives in Winterville with her husband, Brian, and three kids. She began homeschooling while her family lived in Mozambique for ten weeks in 2015, and the journey continued from there. The Steeles enjoy traveling together whenever possible, whether camping in the mountains or adventuring overseas. Erin loves knitting and crocheting, reading, and gardening. She loves the freedom to explore and grow that homeschooling allows, and she's so excited to dive into new learning adventures at Firefly!
