Dianna Lieberman To All Instructors
Dianna Lieberman graduated with a bachelor of arts in journalism from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications at UGA. Following graduation, she began her career as a technical writer working in a variety of industries, such as hospitality and banking, in cities around the US.
Later, Dianna moved to the Seattle area, where she found some of the most fulfilling work of her career. At Microsoft, she contributed to several versions of Windows and Microsoft Office creating end-user documentation for a global audience. Following her time in the corporate sector, she moved to a role writing documentation for an international team of scientists focused on an HIV vaccine trial - an opportunity that allowed her to support important medical research.
After Dianna and her family returned to Georgia, she stepped away from technical writing. During the pandemic, her family embraced homeschooling and quickly realized the profound benefits of individualized education. Over the last several years, she has guided her kids through elementary, middle school and high school classes, all the while deepening her appreciation of the positive influence homeschooling has had on her family.
Dianna’s sons have attended Firefly since its inaugural year, enjoying a wide range of classes, including art, cooking/baking, martial arts, archery, and more. Over the years, Dianna has served the Firefly community in several capacities - as a volunteer, the board treasurer, and now as an instructor. In this new role, she looks forward to supervising a welcoming and productive workspace where middle and high school students can complete their schoolwork and quietly socialize when not attending Tuesday classes.
